My Experience

I’ve been babysitting since I was around 14 and have had experience looking after children from ages 2-16. During my gap year I worked as a teaching assistant in a nursery in London for a year. I supported the staff by caring for and engaging with the children, building strong connections through games, songs, and reading. My role was versatile, involving tasks like changing nappies and preparing snacks and lunch. I adapted to the children’s needs, ensuring a nurturing and fun environment where they felt comfortable and happy. During this time I also looked after 2 children aged 8 and 10 where I would pick them up from school, bring them home, help them with their homework or any reading and just generally play with them. Furthermore, from 2019-2023 I coached netball and gymnastics with children ages 5-14, as well as having a Qualification in Level 1 gymnastics coaching. As a coach at Netit (Netball Organisation), I served as a group leader and tournament organiser, working closely with children of all ages. My responsibilities included managing different age groups, coaching tailored skills, umpiring matches, and organising scores into tables. I focused on creating a positive, inclusive environment where kids could develop their skills and have fun. In addition to my love for looking after children, I have also enjoyed tutoring and have previously been an ambassador at a non profit organisation called 'Beyond the Book' which has helped to tutor children during the pandemic. I tutored 3 students and it was a really great experience in lockdown to help those who were struggling.

My Qualifications

- I am fully DBS checked
- Have a level 1 British Gymnastics Coaching Qualification
- Full Clean Driving License
- Allergens Awareness Course - including Natasha's Law
