About Me

My name is Debbie, I am a an Ofsted registered Childminder based in Wimbledon. I co-childmind with Lizzy who is also an Ofsted registered Childminder. We are both Early Years educators and I have 20+ years of experience in early years, including having my own school in South Africa before relocating.
Children learn uniquely at their own pace and in their own ways and we support this learning for each child. Our aim is to equip children in our care with essential tools to set them on their way to a successful bright future. Starting life in a positive and encouraging environment sets them on a solid foundation.
Children are continually on a learning journey and they are generally enthusiastic and energetic as they set off on their way.
In our home from home environment which is safe and comfortable they will receive high quality interactions filled with awe and wonder. As a child deepens their learning through playing and using all their senses, they are having fun. My objective is to keep children engaged, interested and active.
I believe that communicating with a child while they and busy with their hands-on exciting activities because this is where a child will learn best.
Daily activities will include a balance of both adult led and child initiated activities with the guidance set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS), British Values and the interests of the unique child.
