My Summary

My Experience

I am an experienced SEN Educator. I have been tutoring for the past 2 and a half years, supporting someone on a EHCP. Before this I worked in mainstream schools for 11 years in Early years to year 6 as a Teaching Assistant and a HLTA and most recently as a SENCo Assistant. My role was to work closely with teachers, the SENCo and Head teacher, to identify and put in place interventions to support and move children forward in their learning.
This covered a wide range of areas. Sometimes it was Literacy, Phonics, Reading and Maths but it also covered a lot of Speech and Language difficulties like concentration, processing and retaining information.
I worked within the classroom and on a one-to-one basis. I have had the pleasure of supporting children with Dyslexia, ADHD and Autism but also many children who didn’t have a diagnosis. Some children just needed a different approach, a little more time to process and lots of encouragement.

Level 3 in Speech and Language
Level 3 Childminding Practice
Level 2 Autism Practice
Open university pass Understanding Autism
NVQ 2 Childcare and Education
TELF Certificate ( Teaching English as a Foreign Language)

My Availability

I am available for school holiday bookings, monthly block bookings, short or long term. I can go into schools, with the permission of the school, to do interventions.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £25.00 per hour
