General Information
Hello, I am Christina and I’ve recently started a new Ofsted registered childminding business, since making the decision to move away from teaching after 6 years.
Over the past 6 years, I have been working as a qualified teacher in a local primary school where I had most of my recent experience with children in years 1 to 4 (Ages 5 – 9). Prior to that, I worked as a Nanny during school holidays for two local families with between 2 and 3 children aged from 18months through to 8 years old.
My aim is to have a home from home setting with lots of play-based learning. We have a secure garden with a specific child’s area focused on play. This area currently includes; a pirate ship, sandpit, two slides, a paddling pool and a small seesaw.
We are within walking distance of Pinhoe library and a variety of different playparks. I aim to get out and about with the children as much as possible, visiting local places such as Greendale, World of Country Life, Seaton, Sidmouth and Exmouth beach, as well as attending toddler groups.
My aim is to help your child flourish, creating a curriculum around their likes and needs.
My Experience
Experience:
Primary School Teacher for 6 years with the majority of experience in Years 1 – 4, however I have also spent working with children in Reception, Year 5 and 6.
Experience working with children with special education needs more specifically:
- Selective Mutism

- Diabetes and administering insulin.
