About Me
I am a just-retired (MFL) teacher from central Twickenham. I have a DBS (renewed Dec. 2021)
I have two adult children, one of each and one of whom has a diagnosis of autism, so I'm comfortable with this and with special needs of a more educational nature as well.
I enjoy being creative and being outside. I enjoy being busy and being imaginative.
I have no particular age preferences and I can be flexible as regards days and hours.
The summer holidays and half terms are times I'm happy to consider but I do not wish to
work full time. Ideally, I am looking to work from July to September and thereafter from December 2021 (potentially) but definitely from January 2022 onwards. This would be an ideal time to settle
in a medium/long-term role, should this be what you are currently seeking.
My Experience
I have worked in business using my languages as well as having taught in many different settings for over thirty years. I have been a TA, an individual learning support assistant a class and subject teacher as well as a Head of Department. I am married (now widowed) and have two adult children.
I continue to tutor and I enjoy doing many things in my free time such as swimming, boxing, walking
and volunteering.
My Qualifications
I have a B.Ed German and French but no specific child care qualifications.
I hold a First Aid Certificate - current as of 2022
My Availability
I am able to be flexible but prefer not to work on a Tuesday and not to have to travel by car because parking is such an issue in this area. I am not available late evenings, weekends or overnight.

My Fees
- Household Help from £12.00 per hour
When I give MFL tuition, I charge £25 - 30 per hour depending of frequency of lessons/level.
Childcare and Household help £12.00
