About Me
Hi I am Ashleigh I am 21 years old. I am a fourth year University Student at Glasgow University living in the west end. I have plenty of experience working with children and can provide safe and fun care. I have spent the past two summers working on a 6 week childcare scheme caring for children ages 4-12, working primarily with the 4-6 year olds. I’ve also nannied part-time for children aged 2 and 4 which I have thoroughly enjoyed! I am responsible and can provide quality care for your little ones.
My Experience
I spent July and August of 2023 and 2024 working full time in a childcare scheme. The scheme cared for children ages 4-12, I worked more closely with the 4-6 year olds. Through this I have abilities in creative activity planning and patient communication. Through this job I also obtained my paediatric first aid training and my access NI certificate.
I have experience part-time nannying (ages 2+), where I’m responsible for meal preparation, managing their daily routine, planning engaging activities, and taking them to and from outings. This hands-on experience has strengthened my ability to provide consistent, nurturing, and structured care.
I have volunteered at the Rainbow Guides for 4 years (2017-2021) and so I have plenty of experience working with young children aged 4-7. I planned and led many activities to entertain them. During this time, I gained my young leadership qualification. I also have experience working with special needs children and adults after volunteering in a special needs youth club. I also spent some time volunteering at Strathearn Prep School Belfast, assisting the teacher with activities and helping the children with their schoolwork in a P4 class. I have had plenty of babysitting experience.
My Qualifications
I have 3 A2 grades A-B, 4 AS grades A-C and 9 GCSE qualifications grades A-C*. I have my paediatric first aid certificate. I also have my Access NI certificate. I have a full UK drivers license. I am now finishing a degree in Geography at Glasgow University in my fourth year.
