About Me

I provide engaging learning support across a range of subjects & promoting values of mutual respect, concentration, and kindness.

I am passionate about promoting education through play and hands-on interaction and keen to support your children with anything they might need help with while I’m caring for them.

I am available for tutoring (for Key Stages 1 through 4), adhoc babysitting, regular nanny shifts (up to two full days a week) and school pick-ups.

Please get in touch to find out about my terms and conditions.

My Experience

I'm a qualified Teaching Assistant with an inclusive and balanced approach to providing children with the support they need to learn and grow. I currently work with one family and volunteer at the Open Door charity as a youth mentor. When supporting children, my greatest wish is for them to be able to freely and confidently explore themselves and the world around them, knowing I am on hand to help, and for them to thrive in alignment with their own natural inclinations.

I have worked in a range of settings: a deep tech start up, events venues, fine dining restaurants, in nurseries, for charities, and for grassroots organisations; gathering a broad set of skills and experiences. These different insights, in combination with deep and active listening, enable me to adapt so I can meaningfully support each individual. I’m settled now in a field I am really passionate about, supporting children to grow into happy, healthy, fulfilled adults.

My passions include: reading, playing music, watercolour painting, textiles and fibre arts, writing, nature and mindfulness practice.

Having grown up with two energetic younger siblings, supporting little ones is second nature to me; I take a great deal of pride and joy in this work. With my dad at hand on the end of a phone, I began babysitting locally aged 13, caring for children as young as 1, up to my own age at that time! Shortly after, I began tutoring children in my town in the basics of guitar and bass guitar, and would teach them right up until they were as good as me when I would have to hand them over to a qualified grown-up!

Throughout my GCSEs and A-Levels, I continued my tutoring experiences, helping students to attain a C grade in French, Maths and English. Seeing students gain confidence in themselves over the weeks we spent together was very rewarding.

My more recent experience as a nursery worker has really solidified my confidence in EYFS, I learned a lot from the amazing childcare specialists during my time there.

I spent 2024 volunteering (developing accessibility and inclusion policy with local organisations) rather than working, while learning to deal with some changes in my health. Taking the time out was really beneficial and has allowed me to learn about my new capacity and how best to work sustainably.

My Qualifications
