My Summary
About Me
***Not currently seeking employment for the academic year 2022/2023***
Hi, my name is Georgia, and I am a friendly and outgoing nanny who loves providing care for children of all ages! I am hoping to work in education once I graduate next year and as such, I am passionate about young people’s learning and development. It is important to me that the children in my care feel listened to and respected; I encourage their individuality and independence when planning activities and I ensure that I am clear, consistent, and fair when setting boundaries.
As a creative person, I enjoy thinking up fun games and doing arts and crafts – anything that captures the kids’ imaginations! I also love getting the kids out of the house to explore Bristol’s many wonderful parks, woodlands and cultural attractions.
Effective communication with parents is important and I am happy to remain connected throughout the day with updates and photos. As suited to the family’s needs, I can assume different responsibilities while nannying such as preparing meals and light housekeeping. I can be relied upon for school runs and pick ups if the route is walkable/ public transport is accessible.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions!
My Experience
I have done babysitting for family friends, looking after toddlers and primary school age. I also have experience mentoring young teenagers, helping to build their confidence in social situations or with their literacy skills.
I have just recently returned from a period working as an English teaching assistant in a school in France where I demonstrated my ability to manage large class sizes with many loud personalities! As a languages student, communication skills are a major strength of mine so I would be especially well placed in a bilingual household/ caring for children with speech or language problems.
