About Me
Hi, I'm Harriet and I am 33 years old and currently reside in Market Harborough with my husband and Labrador Evie. We have a detached house with a playroom equipped with toys, books, arts and crafts & learning materials. With good-sized rooms for childminding use, and a large garden where the children will get the opportunity to grow their own plants and a place for them to play. We love going to woodlands and parks to find bugs, birds, flowers.. etc. We enjoy messy play and sensory play to create new experiences.
Doodle Bells is an Ofsted registered childcare setting working towards its Hygge in the early years accreditation.
We are a home-from-home setting, where we encourage the children to be curious, learn to explore and find new ways to play. We enjoy walks and exploring the woods and nature, which we try and do as much as we can. We encourage the children to become independent and confident in their abilities.
We love loose parts play inside and outside, open-ended play, messy play, sensory play and enjoying what nature has to offer.
We draw on many approaches including Montessori, Reggio Emilia and The Curiosity Approach.
At Doodle Bells we follow the Hygge approach of warmth and cosiness, enjoying simple pleasures and togetherness.
We offer 2,3 and 4-year-old funded hours and accept the tax-free childcare payment scheme
My Experience
I have experience working with children such as;
Looking after children which include new-born and toddlers, as well as babysitting older children.
Running a playgroup
I completed additional childcare courses throughout the year to enhance my understanding.
I enjoy teaching and having fun with children of all ages and want them to get the best start in life.

Our youngest has been with Harriet now for 4 months and he settled straight away with her despite struggling in a nursery setting. She is very caring towards the children in her care and a lot of thought goes into their activities and outings to fit their needs and interests. We especially love how great Harriet is at keeping in touch with us and letting us know what little man gets up to all day!

Doodle bells has been looking after my daughter ivy for a few months now, and she has progressed massively with her skills and learning, I know she’s in great hands everyday when I drop her off, and I know she enjoys all the things they do together, and they go out to places. I get sent photos and updates on their day which is really nice for me! :) Harriet is a very friendly person, with a lovely clean home, set up for the children.
