About Me
Hello, my name is Louise, I am an OFSTED registered childminder crb checked with a paediatric first aid certificate living in Great Park Gosforth. I have 2 girls of my own, who have both flown the nest, my youngest is 26 and graduated with a degree in early years childhood studies she is an sen teaching assistant and the eldest aged 30 is now a primary school teacher. (Both obviously encouraged to go into this field sue to the fantastic mindees I have had over the years)
I have a clean, safe 4 bedroomed detached house with a secure back garden and plenty toys etc. I have a 7 seater car so am able to offer pick up/drop off depending on times and distance.
I offer pick up from Brunton park first school and Gosforth academy junior school.
My Experience
I have over 30 years of childcare experience as I was a nanny for a family for 3 years before I had my own children, looking after 5 and 3 year old girls and their 3 month old baby brother until he started nursery at the age of 3. So have plenty experience in newborns too.
I passed my childminding course in December 2010 and have been looking after children of all ages for the last 14 years from the same home.
I make all the children who come into my home very welcome and they treat it as a home from home. I am registered for overnight care and have a bedroom especially for this, which some of the children I look after have stayed over on occasions.
I am flexible and my focus is on the safety, wellbeing, development and happiness of the children in my care.
I like to work with parents/carers with regards to their preferences and child likes/dislikes, if they have any dietary requirements, (One of my children is a vegetarian) sleeping patterns, routines etc. I encourage parents to tell me what they want and do my utmost to carry out their wishes.
I offer breakfast,lunch and tea with home cooked nutritious food. I am flexible, responsible, organised and fun, so please feel free to ask any questions.

I like to take the children on outings, we regularly go to soft play, library, story times, childminder centres and in Summer go to local parks and the beach as well as farm visits and have an annual pass to Alnwick gardens. I provide a happy, healthy, social environment and like to make learning fun.

Louise currently looks after my son 3 days a week, he's 2 years old. Before we found Louise we had him in a nursery, we had one problem after another, he was sent home nearly every week with one sickness bug or another.
He started with Louise in December 2013 and he settled really well. He now loves being at her house. We have had no problems with sickness bugs or being sent home since he left the nursery. Louise is extremely reliable and very flexible. She is exactly what working parents need! Her home is large and she has great space for the children to play, inside and outside.
I would not hesitate in recommending Louise to any other parents. Our son is very happy and loves the dog. They go out on day trips, as well as to soft play and parks.
Unfortunately we will be leaving Louise in August 2014 as we are emigrating. I hope we find a childminder as good as Louise! I would be happy for anyone to contact me through Louise if they would like a more detailed reference.

Your son has been a pleasure to look a after and I will miss him. Hope u all have an amazing life in Oz!
Louise looked after my children for 18 months up until we moved away from the area. A beautiful, spacious and clean home environment is provided for the children where everybody feels welcome!
My children love her and her family, her daughters have also minded and babysat on occasions and they have been like an extended family.
The children have enjoyed trips to the park, seaside, Alnwick Gardens, Beamish and more. At the house they've enjoyed playing with the range of toys, had fun in the garden and exploring a variety of themed and seasonal arts and crafts. They've made some lovely friends and had some extremely happy times. It's been a home away from home for them and have always come home smiling.
I would not hesitate to recommend Louise to any parent looking for a fun, loving and well disciplined environment for their children. Her care has been faultless and super reliable. We are going to miss you!
