My Summary

My Experience

During my university placement year in Madrid, I gained valuable experience teaching English to primary school children. This role involved planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to young learners, fostering their language skills through interactive activities, and creating a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. I developed strong communication, organization, and patience, adapting my teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students. This experience enhanced my ability to connect with children, making me well-equipped to care for and support children in various settings.
I have also worked as an Online Tutor for several months via the site MyTutor, teaching GCSE sciences, maths and up to A Level English (language and literature). I have found this to be an amazing experience in developing my teaching and communication skills and has provided me with a strong basis for continuing this in the future. I would particularly love the opportunity to teach subjects not offered by MyTutor, such as languages (which I study at university), psychology (which I studied at A Level and achieved an A*). In addition to this, I have hands-on, classroom experience of teaching primary and secondary school students French, which helped develop both my teaching skills but also gave me experience of looking after and being responsible for children of varying ages which would be invaluable when babysitting!

My Qualifications

I have qualifications from Language Leaders and Sports Leaders for which I completed a course around teaching young people sports and languages which required many hours of in-person teaching, exercises and lesson plans. I have also completed the MyTutor training courses and therefore have their certificates of qualifications as well. I also volunteer as a long-term counsellor for young people (aged 10-20) for a UK mental health charity. As part of this role, I completed welfare/wellbeing training and learned how to effectively but sensitively communicate with young people. My time teaching has definitely given me more than enough experience of working with children to confidently babysit.

I am available after 2pm on weekdays and most weekends either advance notice

My Fees

• Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £20.00 per hour

My rates are flexible and I am willing to negotiate
