My Requirements

Looking to build a relationship with someone who will provide ad hoc care for my 11 month old son.

Unfortunately, his dad has recently become very sick, and is unable to help me look after our son. We have a childminder one day a week from the 25th April and he will also start nursery one day a week from September.

We are hoping to find someone or a few people that we can get to know and would become a bank of people who could provide care for our son in the event his childminder is unwell and or on the days that he isn’t with a childcare provider but I need to get a few bits done around the house.

This would usually be daytime, but might need someone for 1 hour every other Thursday evening at 8pm. My son will likely be asleep at that time, but I have a work meeting and so will need someone to be here in case he wakes up. If the person would be happy to wash his bottles for the night while he sleeps during that one hour, that would be really helpful.

Ideally the person would be DBS checked, have experience with children my sons age and above, have lots of energy, be patient and sensitive, be culturally competent/curious (I really appreciate people who aren’t afraid to ask questions), have experience with creating a nurturing environment that stimulates positive mental, spiritual, emotional, social and physical development, not someone that will stick him in front of a tv.

I may need someone to take him to an occasional baby class he has if I can’t take him so if you have a car, that would be great.
