About Me

*NOT CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR WORK*
I am currently looking for a full time live in nanny role beginning mid/late October 2023 but can be flexible for the right family. At the moment I am working for an incredible family in Putney but they are sadly relocating to Saudi Arabia in August, I will be travelling with them to help settle the children into their new home and environment but will then be returning to London to start a new job. Ideally I am hoping for a role in South West London but I am open to other areas for the right fit.

Since growing up surrounded by young family members and being involved in their care from newborn to teenage years, I have always had a passion for childcare and I am now settled into my career as a nanny. With experience caring for a wide range of age groups, I have gained fantastic skills in time management, organisation and patience. I thrive when working in a busy household that is full of life and equally take pride in being able to calm the room when necessary. My top priority when working with children is always providing them with everything I can to help them flourish and develop, much of this is done with outdoor exploration and engaging activities. Outside of my professional career, I have also gained many valuable experiences from my volunteering work at a gardening project for individuals with mental health disorders, over the last few years.

My Experience

Full time, live-in nanny
JANUARY 2023 - PRESENT, Putney
I am currently working for a lovely family based in Putney in a live in capacity. Within this role I have largely sole care of a 22 month old boy and shared care of a 3 month old baby boy with the mother. My time at work is spent attending our regularly play groups, swimming lessons and outdoor activities as well as organising nursery duties and cooking healthy meals for the family. A highlight of this job for me has been working with the toddler, who has had significant delays on developmental milestones, and using my knowledge and experience to help him learn to stand, walk and begin to talk. I have found it incredibly rewarding working with this little boy and seeing him thrive. Working together with the children's mum, I have been heavily involved with the new baby since he was born as their father works abroad. This has included aiding with feeding, sleeping and establishing routines and ensuring that he is getting the mental and physical stimulation he need to thrive.

Full time, live-out nanny
MAY 2022 - August 2022, BRIGHTON
I worked as a nanny for two children, aged 3 years and 15 months, where I was the sole carer for the children whilst the parents were working. Our days typically involved an organised activity in the morning such as a music class, swimming or a play group, followed by an engaging and educational activity for the older child after lunch whilst the younger sibling naps. The afternoons were then filled by an active outdoor activity or sport. Within this role, I was responsible for ensuring the children are cooked nutritious meals and have a well-balanced diet whilst also encouraging their physical and mental development in line with projected milestones. Caring for two young children simultaneously takes high levels of organisation, time-management and Initiative.

University of Sussex Students’ Union / Duty manager
MARCH 2022 - August 2022, BRIGHTON

Following a promotion, I am currently a duty manager of venues within the University of Sussex student union. In addition to my previous responsibilities as a customer service assistant, I am now responsible for managing staff and venues and dealing with administrative tasks within the business.
· Ensuring staff are completing tasks to a high standard to ensure efficient running of the venues
· Partaking in 1 to 1s with line staff to review progress and monitor welfare
· Being responsible for securing the building at the end of the day and ensuring it is left safely
· Dealing with banking tasks such as cashing up, performing safe checks and reviewing inconsistencies within this
· Training new staff, which requires being knowledgeable in all aspects of the daily running of the venues
· Providing services to both outside clientele and those from within the university, ensuring to give the best impression of the business to sometimes thousands of customers during events

Part-Time Childminder
JUNE 2016 - SEPTEMBER 2021, DEVON
During this time I worked with two separate families and 5 children in total, regularly being the sole carer for 3 children at any one time. My responsibilities when working with the families included school pick ups and drop offs, homework help and bedtimes. Two of the children I worked with were newborns when I first met them and aged to toddlers over my time with them, allowing me to gain valuable experience in the newborn months, baby milestones, weaning and potty training.
