About Me

Hello! I’m passionate about making learning fun, engaging, and meaningful for children. Whether through creative activities or academic support, I love helping them build confidence and reach their full potential. It was during my studies in Health and Social Care that my passion for working with children truly began. While studying, I worked as a part-time tutor, supporting Key Stage 2 children in English and Maths. This was my first formal experience working with children, and I loved it—I enjoyed helping them overcome challenges, planning engaging activities to make learning fun, and seeing their confidence grow. After finishing my studies, I pursued an apprenticeship in Early Years Education (Level 3) and have since gained two years of experience working in a nursery. Recently, I officially qualified as a Level 3 Early Years Educator, which has been an exciting milestone in my journey. While I have loved working in early years, I am now looking to expand my experience by working with primary school-aged children. Thinking back to my time as a tutor, I remember how much I enjoyed working with that age group—supporting their learning, engaging them in creative activities, and helping them develop confidence in their abilities. I truly believe that working with children is one of the most important and rewarding roles. The experiences and support they receive during these formative years have a lasting impact on their future, which is why I am committed to providing a nurturing, encouraging, and stimulating environment where they can thrive.

My Experience

Tutor
As a tutor, I was responsible for overseeing a Year 2 group, planning and delivering Maths and English sessions aligned with the National Curriculum. I adapted lessons to suit the varying abilities of the children, ensuring they remained engaging and accessible. Throughout the academic year, the group dynamic frequently changed, requiring me to tailor my teaching approach to meet their evolving needs. Additionally, towards the end of the school day, I supervised children from Year 1 to Year 6, organizing fun and interactive games to keep them engaged while they waited to be collected.

Family Babysitting
During my time babysitting family members, my main role was to keep the children entertained through both indoor and outdoor play, ensuring they remained engaged and stimulated.

Apprentice Early Years Educator
As an apprentice early years educator, I took on a wide range of responsibilities to support the development and well-being of young children in a nursery setting. I engaged children in age-appropriate activities, working closely with other staff to create a stimulating and nurturing environment. I maintained detailed records of key children’s progress and achievements, ensuring parents were kept informed and involved in their child’s development. Building strong relationships with families was a key part of my role, as was supporting the nursery team with daily tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and organizing learning materials. Additionally, I ensured the safety and well-being of the children by monitoring and recording any accidents or incidents. This experience has given me a strong foundation in early years education and reinforced my passion for supporting children’s growth and learning. Through these roles, I have gained valuable experience in childcare, education, and development, strengthening my ability to create supportive and enriching environments for children of various age groups.
