About Me
Hi there! Here is a very warm welcome from Essington Childminding.
My name is Laura. I have very recently become an ofsted registered childminder and can’t wait to welcome families into my setting and get to know the little ones I’m going to be looking after.
I have three children of my own. They are 1, 4 and 15. We also have a family dog, her name is Luna. Having used a childminder for my own children I know choosing the right childcare is a big decision. My childminding service offers home-from-home care in a stimulating environment (at home, out in the local area, on trips and playgroups/classes). You can be assured that in my care your child will be safe, happy and thrive from the learning opportunities and experiences I provide.
Our house is fitted with appropriate safety measures and we have a playroom which is the perfect space for little ones to learn, explore and have lots of fun. We have plenty to explore in the local area with Essington pools and a park nearby. We also have an enclosed garden and outdoor play equipment suitable for toddlers and preschool children. We live just a short walk from St Johns Primary School so I will be available for before / after school pick-ups and drop offs.
I am really friendly, approachable and anyone who knows me knows how much I love spending time interacting and playing with children.

My Experience
I am a qualified Teacher who has worked with children and their families for 17 years. This has provided me with ample experience of planning, resourcing and facilitating a wide variety of activities to suit children of all ages (within Early Years and Primary School) and with varying learning needs. I also have lots of experience of working with children who have additional needs.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified Social Worker and Primary School Teacher. I have also recently completed Level 3 Safeguarding Training and Full paediatric First Aid training. My husband and I have also both recently had DBS checks.
My Availability
I will be working for 46 weeks of the year with two weeks off for Easter, two off at Christmas and two during the summer holidays. I also offer term-time only places with no charges during the school holidays.
My opening hours are 7:30am - 5:30pm. Please get in touch if you require times outside of these hours as I will try to be flexible where I can.

I have two spaces for before / after school children (for St Johns in Essington only) and some availability for the weeks I’m open during the school holidays

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
A reservation fee of £60 will be charged to retain a future place.
My fees are £5 per hour. All absences due to illness/holidays are charged at full cost if they fall during the weeks Essington Childminding is open.
Before School and after school fees are dependent on the duration of the care provided.
All payments are due one month in advance before the childcare has been provided.
