Aim to build confidence in children and support them to build firm foundations in their understanding that will support their future learning.
My Experience
I am a primary school teacher who has recently retired from full time teaching after 17 years working in schools. I have taught all Primary age groups from Reception to Year 6. I am currently working in school hours as a tutor for children who are not able to access full time education.
I teach all primary subjects including phonics, reading and speaking and listening. I am an experienced maths intervention teacher having specialised in this area for many years and I also have extensive experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs and of working with children working above expected levels.
I use a variety of teaching strategies to build strong foundations of understanding.
