Hi and thank you for reading our profile. JEMS childcare is a homely setting run be 2 childminders Jenny and Emma who have worked together for the last 13 years
Jenny has worked in Nurseries with children from 3month-5 years and for the past 18 years has been running a large preschool and before and after school club for children aged 6 month to 11 years old,
Emma has worked as a nanny with newborns up to teenagers, is a qualified childcare assessor and ran the pre school with Jenny for the last 13 years.
We both like to have fun and will be using our vast childcare knowledge and experience to plan fun activities that help meet the children’s individual needs.
My Experience
After gaining the NNEB Jenny worked in nurseries til having her own children and moving to Germany on returning she started working at the pre school apart time and over the last 18 years went from assistant to owner.
Emma went to work as a full time nanny before owning a play gym, in 2009 after selling the play gym Emma returned to her nanny family part time and combined that with part time at pre school working with Jenny.
My Qualifications
We both hold the NNEB and BA Hons in early years as well as paediatric first aid, food hygiene level 3, child protection and designated safeguarding lead qualifications. Separately we both have different qualifications inc Play work, Autisim and ADHD in both boys and girls, British values, Observation and learning, child bereavement and mental health, effective teaching and learning, EAL, Allergy awareness. Inclusion, equality and diversity, Healthy eating and fussy eaters, Sleep training.
My Availability
We offer flexible care to suit school hours, unsocial hours, part day, full days, term time only placements of year round contracts.

Jenny,Emma and Laura have been looking after my eldest since she was 7m old and my youngest since she was 6m they are now 3 and 18m and sadly due to moving away we are having to change childminders.
My girls have loves JEMS nothing is ever too much trouble for them and the activities they offer and experiences the girls have had have been fantastic. They are always brining things home and going on fun trips such as train rides or to the farm or the library.
When we first went to JEMS I am sure I was that fussy parent who wanted a sleep routine, photos of my child and updates and I got all that, they listened to me, reassured me and planned transitions that made things easy.we are devastating to be leaving but will keep in touch

My 2 children have been going to JEMS for a few weeks after we moved to the area and had to leave our old childcare.
I was very apprehensive about the move as they where both so settled however Jenny and Emma have been amazing, kept me informed of how the first day was going and on collecting the children it was clear they had had a great time.
The children have done some great activities and my youngest’s speech has developed so much that our speech and language therapist asked what the change was all we can do is put it down to time at JEMS.
Would highly recommend JEMS for anyone looking for childcare
