About Me
I am a 25-year-old living in Horsham. I have a lot of personal and professional experience with children as I was previously a nanny before becoming a primary school teacher. I have always loved being around children and knew from a young age I wanted to work with them, help them reach milestones, and watch them grow! I have particular experience with babies and young children, having worked in a lot of nurseries.
I'm a very caring and bright person and love getting to know all the personality traits of children in my care so I can help them in a way that suits them. This is also what initially drew me to teaching. I am super creative and outdoorsy so I love arts and crafts and taking the children outside to play with natural materials and experiment.
I was teaching in a London-based school but felt London wasn't for me so I returned to Horsham recently and am loving being in the country scenery again.

My Experience
I hold a Level 2 and Level 3 childcare diplomas and have worked/volunteered in nurseries for over 5 years. When I decided to continue my studies to become a teacher, I nannied for 2 families in London until the pandemic happened. Then I completed my final year of university and obtained my degree in Primary Education at The University of Roehampton. Then I went on to teach Year 2 for a year and a half in London before returning to Horsham.
As mentioned before, I have a lot of baby experience due to nanny jobs, nurseries, and personally. Whilst I believe my strong suit lies with caring for babies and toddlers, I am very comfortable and happy to interact and care for older children too. One family I nannied for had 11 year old twins and we had so much fun doing school projects, baking and trying to handle more adult tasks.
I have also been asked to do some basic housechores by families, such as laundry, dishes and vacuuming which I am also happy to do.
My Qualifications
CACHE Level 2 Introducing Caring for Children and Young People
CACHE Level 3 Childcare and Education
Primary Education (BA) with QTS and a specialisation in Geography
I also have a Lifeguarding Certificate which covers baby to adult first aid. While I feel confident in my ability, it is over 3 years old, full disclosure.
My Availability
I am currently taking a break from teaching due to my move until roughly April. I am happy to work pretty much all week except for weekends. Of course, if I am given notice and it is not every weekend, I am happy to come in the evenings on weekends or if there is a real emergency. However, would like to keep this to a minimum as a plan to keep busy during the week. As with before school, if you are in a real pinch, I will happily help but I would also like to keep this to a minimum.

- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
I am happy to arrive at your house, paying my own travel and bringing my own food. No further requirements.
