My name is Aurelia. I am married. I am trilingual (English, French and Japanese fluent).
I live in Bishop Auckland, county Durham.
I work with children because that is what motivates me every day.
Watching them grow into confident and independent people is so rewarding!
And I love that no single day at work is the same.
I am currently working as an online French and English teacher in Japan (students aged 5 to 12 years old) in the morning, via a Japanese International Teaching Platform. I have been recognised and awarded BEST French and English Tutor for Children in Tokyo, in 2018, 2019 and 2022.
I have over 10 years’ experience teaching online and also have 5 years’ experience in classroom setting as an English Teacher (students aged 3-12 years old) while I was living in Japan.
I am looking for a Live out Nanny position for afternoons, after school and evenings.
I am also available for full day care for half terms/Easter/Christmas/Summer holidays/
babysitting (occasionally)/babysitting on weekends.
I am a patient, trustworthy, nurturing and very playful person and I like to always think ahead as this makes everyone’s life easier. And I am flexible and can easily adjust and adapt to change.
Safeguarding the children under my care is my number one priority. I take pride in risk assessing everything I plan to do with the children I look after. I am CPR and Paediatric First Aid Certified. I also hold some other Health and Safety U.K qualifications. This means, I am perfectly capable of assessing emergency situations and decide the safest course of action when necessary.

My Experience
I practically raised all my nephews, nieces and their children (22 in total)
I have an extensive babysitting experience which began when I was 14
-I looked after children of different ages (baby to 10 years old)
-I did numerous overnight and weekend babysitting for all my neighbours
-I also did many school drop-offs and pick-ups
-I made many memorable outings such as taking the children to the local swimming pool, to the library, to the cinema, to the local farm, to the park, to the beach…
-As I grew older, the families let me have the children for full day care the entire school holidays which I carried on doing till the age of twenty.
-Time management, changing nappies , bottle-feeding the baby, potty training and cooking healthy food for the children are among the first skills I gained at that time.
From my 5 years of experience in classroom setting as an English teacher in Japan (3 to 12 years old), I have extensive experience in:
• Role-playing activities that help the learners to practice English in real-life situations, to enrich their vocabulary and to develop their new skills
• Singing songs
• Reading books
• Playing games
• Watching children's TV programs and playing cartoons in English
• Incorporating English language in the children’s daily activities.

From my over 7 years of experience in teaching French and English on an international online teaching platform, I have extensive experience in:
• Teaching foreign languages while having fun (by singing, dancing, playing…)
• Keeping the children focused and entertained during the lesson (sitting in front of a computer for a certain amount of time is quite challenging for young learners)
• Maintaining the lesson fun for the learner throughout the lesson
• Making the learners feel that we meet up online to have fun and not to study
• Creating special interactive games that we can play and enjoy online
• Making easy and age appropriate and interesting crafts
• Tailoring each lesson to meet the children’s individual needs
• Synchronizing with the learner at all times (children like adults can have good and bad days. If you know how to synchronize with their mood, we always finish the lesson with a big smile. The child feels valued and recognised and wants to come back again and have fun with you.
