About Me
My name is Greg and I'm a primary teacher, senior leader and tutor. I have 8 years of experience teaching children across the primary range. I currently teach Year 6 and have done so for four years. I have a wide knowledge of the Key Stage 1 and 2 curriculum and know where best to target support to ensure all children (including SEND children) can reach their potential by the end of Year 6.
In my first session with a learner, I complete a thorough assessment which can cover maths, reading, phonics and writing. I use this data to identify individualised key learning goals that will have the most impact on attainment. I break down learning into small steps, using a range of teaching strategies to ensure children have understood.
Finally, I take advantage of the benefits of 1:1 tuition by exploring assessment informed topics deeply, checking at every step that the learner has a solid understanding. I work with children from across the primary age group to improve their maths, reading comprehension, writing as well as focused practice for formal assessments like SATs, 7+ and 11+. I am available to work in and around Epsom. I look forward to hearing how I can support your child with their learning.

- Upper intermediate speaker of Portuguese. I have great success working with children with English as an additional language.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £50.00 per hour
1:1 private tuition sessions available at £60 per hour for KS1/KS2 children.
40 minute private tuition for KS1 children available at £50.
The session price includes the following:
-Travel to and from homes in the Epsom area
-Teacher lesson preparation time outside of session time
- All printed teaching resources (additional costs to cover 11+ preparation resources specific to individual schools)
-Regular feedback on progress within sessions
-Weekly homework tailored to the needs of your child
-Opportunity to receive an accurate reading age score and receive challenging book recommendations. I am happy for my students to borrow any of my wide selection of high quality books.

I have been really impressed with the service provided by Mr Cox. My son really enjoys the sessions which are challenging and focused whilst still keeping them fun.
After the first session, my son was asking if he could come every day and he was keen to do his homework!!!
I would throughly recommend him.
