**LIMITED AVAILABILITY NOW. Potentially more availability in August** I’m Helen and I’m from a small town in England. For the last few years, I have been living in India with my boyfriend and our dog, Momo. We have a duo band together, where I play trumpet, and we play a mix of English and Hindi songs. We love to have fun on stage and get people dancing! I also play a bit of guitar and love to write songs.
I have been travelling since I was 21, starting out as an Au Pair for a family in Tenerife and then heading to Kenya, where I volunteered in a childcare centre. I am so grateful to have seen and experienced so much of this world in the past 7 years and gain different experiences from volunteering with different people and working with different families.
I am a friendly and bubbly person and usually connect well with young children. I love to listen to and understand children and all the curiosities they have. I encourage them to think for themselves and nurture their unique personalities.
My Experience
I have many years experience working with children, from volunteering in a childcare facility in Kenya, working as an Au Pair for 3 different families, and working in a kindergarten where I also teach music.
I also taught English online during lockdown, which I really enjoyed, but I prefer to be hands on with children and in person.
I am grateful to have spent so much time with a variety of families, helping me gain a wider understanding of growing children and also parents and their different values with childcare and parenting.
I really value a gentle parenting approach, and treating children as the real little humans they are.
That said, I think it's important to understand each parents perspectives on discipline and work together in a way that works for and benefits the children and the family as a whole.
My Qualifications
I finished 6th form with 4 A levels in Music, French, Psychology and English Literature.
I spent my next years gaining experience working with children and I am considering going on to do a degree in Child Psychology.
My Availability
I am looking for childcare work from April 2023. I am open to a live in nanny position also. My availability for now is very open, so get in touch before I get booked up!
