I am 25 years old, originally from England, now living in Prestwick, South Ayrshire. I enjoy to bake and decorate cakes as well as gardening, craft activities and going for walks.
My Experience
I have been gaining experience with children for several years now, starting when I acquired a BTEC level 3 in Children’s play, learning and development (Early Years Educator) with a triple D*D*D*. For this I carried out placements in toddler, pre-school and primary school settings. I am also a qualified Girlguiding Rainbow leader, which I have been volunteering with for more than 7 years.
I have experience with children from newborn and beyond, and can easily adapt to each environment I am in, and each child I work with.

Katie has been providing childcare for our 2 daughters aged 11 and 7. She is just amazing. So much so my girls ask the next time she's coming as soon as she leaves. She is so kind, caring, patient, enthusiastic and we feel so comfortable with Katie looking after our girls. She is the 1st person outwith our family and would highly recommend to any family. She caters to the individual needs of each girl.

Katie watched our 6 month old son while we went to a wedding. She was on time, asked great questions, was very comfortable around him and gave us great peace of mind that he was in great hands.
Our son was not used to being away from us and definetly gave her a bit of a tough time but she pushed through and manged to get him to sleep. She was responsive and gave us updates throughout the day! Thanks so much watching our son, sorry he was not great for you! All the best!

I highly recommend Katie. It was the first time we had a babysitter for our two young daughters and Katie put us at ease immediately. She was very professional, caring and friendly. It is clear she has a lot of patience for children and loves her job. The girls had a great time with her and we will definitely be contacting her again!

Katie has been watching my 2 kids 7/3. They absolutely love having her around and it puts my mind at ease knowing I can go to work and not worry about them. She is always doing crafts or playing games with them which they just love.
Cannot recommend Katie enough.

Katie was so good with my girls. They both loved every second of their time with her and always wanted longer, and I never worried once whilst she was looking after them.
I will absolutely be contacting Katie again any time we need some childcare - she really was the best!

such a lovely lady polite, kind well mannered and so brilliant with our kids we definitely will be using her again!!! she was not fased that our youngest cried so much appoligies for that lol but truly you are a fantastic sitter happy to recommend

Katie is a very professional babysitter with true care for both my kids.
She has been on time and slightly earlier to settle in each time and is keeping up nicely with the good first impression she gave us.
She is well aware of safe childminding and applies it in a very child-friendly manner.
Although no human kids of her own at that stage, she has a great understanding of their slow development and gentle approach to issues arising with them.
Katie gave me a clear picture of how her upcoming holidays look like for her this year well in advance.
She kindly took the initiative to step in nicely while around though, to ensure she provides us with all the service she can to support us as much as required within her power.
She has a friendly manner of encouraging me too with matters relevant to our wellbeing, which just comes to show her trully caring spirit overall.
After several years of odd experiences with childcare from the city of Edinburgh, Katie is a great blessing to our wee family.

As a first time mum, i was sooo nervous who i can trust with my baby. Hes was 9 weeks old when she first looked after him. And I couldn’t have been more happier with the service. She took in everything. She even let me go crazy by a step by step list from my nervousness. My baby boy as always had a good time with her. Truly going to be his best friend growing up. She even bathed him. And im so satisfied with how well she bathed him. Ill always recommend her to my mumma friends.
Bonus shes amazing with our little dog who is just as nervous with new people as me.

Katie was able to come and babysit for our 8 year old son with a few days notice when we were stuck for help. She is very flexible and also agreed to pop over the day before to meet us so we wouldn’t be leaving him with a stranger.
Our son had a lovely Friday evening in with Katie playing games, making popcorn and reading stories. We will definitely be booking Katie again in the future, her flexibility of hours are really useful for anyone like us that doesn’t have family nearby to help. Thank you!
