About Me
Hello everyone, I am a childminder based in Kidbrooke. I'm a loving mum of 3 who has an interest in child development and growth. Having grew up in a household where my mother was a childminder, I now have followed suit and do what comes naturally to me which is to care for and bring up children in a way that allows them to thrive and feel content in a home away from home setting.
I was born in London and have lived in Greenwich my entire life. My ethnicity is Turkish Cypriot. I cook Mediterranean meals aswel as other types of food. My home is a no smoking/no alcohol/no pets household. I like to keep a clean and organised home so that the kids that attend my setting are safe and enjoying all activities they do in a fresh open atmosphere.
My Experience
I have trained and qualified as a special educational needs co ordinator in the early years. I am also a qualified SEN teaching assistant and I have many years of experience in child care and development ranging from bringing up my own children to looking after my minded children. I also worked in a supplimentary school for 6 years prior to being a mum myself. During this time I ran my own crèche facility and managed 4 other members of staff along with care for the children in my setting.
I feel confident and happy around children knowing I can provide them with the safety and security they need to flourish in my setting.

My Availability
I am very flexible and can adapt to what you need. I am currently offering full time or part time care. That could mean any number of days you require a week. It also could mean all year round or term time only. I keep my ratios small as I want a good individual relationship with each of the children I take care of. Three children are my limit regardless of their ages.
I'm currently available for Tues, weds and Thurs, Friday. But again, if you need something slightly different, message me so we can discuss that option.
I am understanding towards families when it comes to my availability. Ideally my times are 7.30am - 5.30pm.

My fee is £70 per day.

Sebnem has taken care of our son when needed since he was just over 1 year old, and he absolutely adores her. We feel so happy and comfortable leaving him with Sebnem, as we know that he in the safest of hands. She is extremely capable, kind, and is magic with children.
Our initial meeting was great, with Sebnem thoroughly getting to know Christopher; his needs, likes and dislikes, schedule, and so many more things it wouldn't have occured to us to bring up. When Christopher is there, we are kept updated on his day, and fully trust Sebnem. He always comes home full of joy and very nicely worn out!
We honestly can't recommend Sebnem highly enough.

Highly recommended childminder! Sebnem looked after my 10 month old daughter when I had to return to work.
I was extremely nervous about leaving her with somebody else, because prior to this she had never spent more than half an hour away from me. Sebnem was reassuring from the start, we had a number of conversations and a visit to the setting beforehand in which Sebnem asked about my daughter’s routine, likes and interests and sleeping and eating patterns which provided me with the reassurance that my daughter’s needs would be catered for.
My daughter took an instant liking to Sebnem and really enjoys being in her setting. It really is a “home away from home” feel; there’s always a range of toys and educational activities for my daughter to engage with but it’s also a relaxed and homely atmosphere. Sebnem is always able to recognise my daughters cues and knows just what she needs when she’s upset. She has an abundance of patience. My daughter is always happy to be in Sebnem’s company and I feel confident leaving her in Sebnem’s care. Couldn’t ask for any more as a parent! Thank you.

Sebnem has always made me feel very comfortable leaving my children with her, she is communicative and sends updates throughout the day which put me at ease. She is clearly a skilled caregiver and I feel she shows compassion and kindness as well as aiding my children in their education! They often come back from Sebnem’s with a new word or skill which makes me so happy that not only are they being cared for but that their minds are being enriched also. I would highly recommend her as a childminder.
