About Me
Hello! I'm a caring and enthusiastic, fully qualified, Irish primary school teacher with four full years teaching experience. I have Qualified Teacher Status in the UK and a completed DBS check on the update service. I moved from Ireland to London in July 2022 and since then, I have taught a Year 1 class for an entire academic year and worked as a full time nanny for another year, in sole charge of a 2 year old & 5 year old. I tutored the 5 year old child in phonics and mathematics.
I am currently teaching again as a daily supply teacher and I am looking for babysitting or tutoring work in the evenings, as well as some weekends.
I have taught piano to children for five years and I have worked as a babysitter since I was a teenager.
My Experience
I'm a qualified primary school teacher with four years teaching experience. I have mainly worked with children aged 4-9 but I am comfortable working with children of all ages. I spent a year working as a full-time nanny for a family of four, children aged 2 & 5. I have experience working with children with special educational needs also, as a counselor in a summer camp in America, through supply teaching, July provision and through piano teaching.
My Qualifications
I graduated with First Class Honours on the Bachelor of Education course from Dublin City University in 2019. I have completed various continuous professional development courses, an online yoga course for children and first aid courses, which I would be happy to discuss in more detail. I completed the Grade 7 piano examination from the Royal Academy of Music in Ireland.
My Availability
My schedule is not set in stone as it depends whether I am needed by a school each day. However, I am free most evenings and some weekends. If you need help during a day also, there is a chance that I could be free.
