About Me
An expat from Paris and a PGCE Teacher trainee, I am looking for work this summer in tutoring and/or childcare. I am patient, thoughtful and adaptable, extremely communicative and very well organised. I am fluent in English, French and Mandarin Chinese and speak German to an intermediate level, and I have experience in multilingual childcare where I provide children with a fully immersive language-learning experience. I also have a background in Philosophy and Humanities, and can help students up to university level with academic writing, research skills and exam preparation.
My Experience
I have extensive experience with children age 8 and up, both in private and classroom settings. I can provide not only daily care (hygiene, homework, meal prep…), but also come up with educational activities (museum outings, arts and crafts workshops, foreign language films), and support them emotionally (meditation, yoga, psychomotricity exercises). I have worked for children with SEND (autism, ADHD).
My Qualifications
I have a Philosophy Masters from the University of York and Paris-Sorbonne Université, with a focus on neurophilosophy, psychology and metaphysics of mind. I am in the process of completing my PGCE training in MFL (French with German) and obtaining my QTS.
My Availability
I am available throughout the summer from early July to mid-September.
