About Me
Having completed my Biomedical Science degree at the university of Lincoln, I am back living in my home town of Northampton and will be continuing working at the local nursery. I am going on to complete a PGCE and work in early years education in September 2025 having loved the experience of working at the nursery, babysitting and nannying around my degree. Working with children and being a part of their growth and development is such a privilege, both in an educational and personal setting. I hope to continue to build relationships with families, to support and care for your little ones, around my work in education in the coming years.
My Experience
I have worked full time in a nursery for ages 0-5 for a number of months over the summer last year and have started again at the nursery this June. I have been primarily based in the baby room, working with children ages 0-2, however I have had an abundance of experience in all rooms. I have an enhanced DBS with experience in hygiene e.g. nappy changing as well as settling to sleep etc. I have also been very involved in running imaginative and creative activities for ages 0-5. The nursery I work in is also attended by multiple SEND children who I had the opportunity to care for and work with.
I have also been babysitting/ nannying in both a regular and casual capacity around my degree. I have been involved in school drop off and collection, overnight stays, all day babysitting of up to 4 children, as well as a full time short-term nanny position for a little one with ASD.
My Qualifications
I do not have any childcare qualifications as of yet as I hope to achieve my PGCE for a career in early years beginning September 2025. However, I do have nursery experience ages 0-5 and babysitting/ nanny experience up to age 8.
My Availability
I am available for evenings and weekends. I recently have more time during the week so please don’t hesitate to reach out with various times you may need.

It's hard finding a suitable babysitter when you have 2 children with ASD. Finding Riva is like finding a unicorn! Riva is brilliant! She's already had previously babysat for a child with similar needs to my children. She gets on great with them! She's also lovely enough to help me with the ironing while the boys sleep. I highly recommend her!

Riva recently looked after my 10 month old daughter. She took her out to the park to go on the swings and even introduced foods to her that I am anxious about giving her but it has made me want to try these with her more after her reassurance :) she updated me often to say how my daughter was and is just generally a lovely woman. I definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a babysitter :))

Needed some help with our son with special needs. Riva supported us and provided a really constructive environment that he loved. She planned activities each day and was well occupied.
She was also prompt and on time. She communicated well also.

Riva is an exceptional babysitter! My child adores her, and I'm consistently impressed by her care and reliability. Riva has been taking of my kid (7 year-old) for a few months now and she has been great with him. My son went through a tough period with anxiety and panick attacks to the point he didn't want to go to the afterschool club anymore. We found Riva, and it was a blessing for us. From the very first day with her, my son has felt super comfortable and safe. She takes really good care of him, is very playful and knows how to engage him in many activities. I'd highly recommend her to any family.

Riva recently looked after my two children and their two cousins for a day. Riva spent a couple of hours with us a few weeks prior to introduce herself and make sure the kids would feel safe with her. They instantly warmed to her; it’s clear that she is great with kids and has a genuine interest in them. The children were excited to see Riva again and had a fantastic day.
Riva is prompt, flexible, reliable, friendly, kind and my kids like her. I couldn’t recommend her enough!
