About Me
Hello, thank you for looking at my profile. I am a very friendly, trustworthy, creative individual with a wealth of childcare experience. I hold great enthusiasm for working with children. Through previous roles, I have demonstrated great responsibility as well as proven ability to deliver high levels of childcare.
I began my career in the performing arts sector and for several years ran my own dance, performing arts and activity classes/workshops for children. Its safe to say I carry this creative flair into my childcare work and the way in which I approach activities. I enjoy for example, setting up creative learning invitations, championing a mini movement session and can drink a pretend cup of tea very well!
I pride myself in always giving 110% to a task and have a warm and patient nature.
I currently work within a Early Years setting and am seeking ad hoc work opportunities to compliment this. Please do get in touch for availability. I have some weekdays available, am more than happy to do the occasional evening and weekend babysitting/nannying as well. As the nursery I work in is term time only - I am always eager to pick up extra childcare work during the school holidays.
My Experience
I absolutely love working with children and early years is an area I am very passionate about! I have worked in childcare all of my career to date and hold both my Level 3 Childcare qualification and Level 4 Advanced Early years Practitioner qualification. I currently work within the Early Years sector and hold experience working in day nurseries and maintained nursery schools. I have supported and led in the baby rooms, toddler room and right through to Preschool, up the ranks from nursery nurse to room leader even to deputy manager for a short while.
in addition to this I hold vast experience working in breakfast and after school clubs, as a nanny/babysitter for numerous families and as part of an agency, as well as have offered travel nannying, wedding childcare, and event childcare services. I now run a small event childcare business with my sister. I have worked with children of all ages and as such have developed a knowledge of child development across a variety of ages as well as the ability to differentiate activities to meet children’s needs, age and stage of development.
Please note, whilst I am more than happy to play outdoors and be a superb co-adventurer on walks, trips etc, I wouldn't drive the children as part of my services.
My Qualifications
I hold both my Level 3 Childcare qualification and Level 4 Advanced Early years Practitioner qualification. As necessary for all roles I have undertook, I hold all relevant qualifications, a full DBS check, paediatric first aid qualification, food hygiene, Safeguarding, Manual handling/Health and safety certificates and have undertook training in many relevant areas such as early phonics, communication and language intervention, speech and language, Makaton, HYGGE and learning through play!

I HAVE AVAILABILITY FOR AD HOC HALF TERM/ SCHOOL HOLIDAY DATES, EVENINGS AND WEEKEND WORK. Please do get in touch for week availability.
