About Me

I have taught in primary education for a total of eight years, my specialism is Key Stage One. I can support children across all areas and ages of the primary curriculum, with particular focus on preparing children for exams, working on the development of personalised targets to close gaps and fine tune any particular areas. I am fully up to date with several Phonics schemes and I have years of experience in preparing children for the Phonics screen and end of year SATs, with successful results. I am fully up to date with current practices in education and I have up to date safeguarding training. Full DBS check and references available on request.

My Experience

I have nine years experience in working for Sunderland, South Tyneside and Northumberland council teaching Year One and Year Two. I am highly skilled and experienced in producing results, through my patient and effective teaching methods. I believe all children learn differently and benefit from individualised approaches to their learning. I have worked with children of all abilities and I have experience of a wide range of needs. I have worked in Key Stage One leadership and overseen the standards for schools in the above local authorities.
