About Me
I am married with two children aged 9 and 13. I have been a qualified nursery nurse for over twenty years. I have been a deputy manger and pre school room leader in a busy day nursery. I now want to start giving children a more 1 2 1 learning experience and provide a home from home environment where children can feel confident to explore and follow there interests. I have experience with high scope teaching, and also the curiosity approach led play. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and running.
My Experience
I have been a deputy manager in a busy day nursery, and also a pre school room leader. I have looked after children aged between 6months to eleven yrs. I will plan activities round the childrens interests and link them to the EYFS. My setting will provide fun and stimulating weekly trips out to support children’s learning and to help along with our termly topics. I strongly agree with learning through play and I want to offer a happy, fun safe learning environment. We will go on walks to the local super market, library, park and lake. I have joined tiney child minders they are childcare professionals offering families flexible, high quality childminding services from their own home.
