Couldn't imagine a better fit for our daughter

Our daughter has been with Emma and Chris for nearly two months and the experience has been so positive for all of us. After sending her to a nursery and it not being the right fit, we were very worried about other child care providers and how our daughter would cope. A local primary school teacher recommended Emma, who met with us very quickly and our daughter started the following week. We were expecting a slow and hard transition, but she took to Emma so quickly, falling asleep on her the very first day!

She has taken to Emma and Chris so quickly, it's been really lovely to watch. She comes home with new skills every week and walks confidently and happily into their home in the morning now. During the transitional weeks we got regular updates, which made returning to work a positive experience for me as well.

In short, we are so incredibly grateful to have met Emma and Chris and opening up our daughter's world to trusting and enjoying being with other adults (and children). Thank you.

Home from home with an extended family

Our little boy has been with Emma and now Chris for 6 months and they are absolutely brilliant. Walking in is like walking into a big warm hug! Our son feels like he is with family in a loving, homely environment. Emma and Chris have a similar mindset to how we parent - flexible, gentle and adaptive to the needs of the children, but with firm boundaries when needed. We get regular updates when needed and lots of extra support during the transition for our son. They work hard to keep things interesting and fun for the children, with lots of creative and sensory play. I have been especially impressed with how much joy they both take in my son's achievements and celebrate him as an individual. We are so lucky to have found you Emma and Chris!

Fantastic

Emma and Chris have been absolutely brilliant - I cannot recommend them enough. My little boy has settled really well and they have been so helpful in managing a tough transition for him and giving him extra support when needed. I get regular updates throughout the day about all the things he’s been up to. A very loving and nurturing environment - it really feels like he is going to a home away from home.

Like an extended family - 100% recommend

Me and my partner needed to find full time childcare with short notice, and we’re struggling to find any availability. We were so lucky to have stumbled across Emma & Chris (and their daughter!) known as Arc Childminding. They had just set up shop, so we were lucky enough to get a place. It’s a true home away from home, and they both have a wealth of experience, with lots of fun toys, activities and daily trips to the park, library or local groups. We get daily updates on the app, so we can see what fun he’d been up to each day too!

It truly feels like an extended family, nervous for my son to start childcare full time, that quickly eased when I saw how much he loved it there. In the mornings I’ll say ‘let’s go and see Emma and Chris then!’ And he’ll grab his coat and shoes with a big smile on his face.
