About Me
Hi I’m Chris,
I live with my partner Emma and our 1 year old daughter. We co-childmind and run ARC Childminding, a home from home setting in St Thomas, Exeter.
We love nothing more than spending time as a family, which is why childminding is the perfect job for us all. As well as the extensive play and learning equipment in our home setting, we have access to local parks and play areas less than 5 minutes away.
My Experience
I have a 1year old daughter and have extensive work experience of supporting adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.

Our son has been with Emma and Chris at Arc Childminding for 6 months now. Walking in is like walking into a warm hug! Emma has been our key person but he is happy spending time with either of them and we are so lucky to have found them. We especially value how they work as a team and are flexible and adaptive to the needs of our son. Emma and Chris work hard to do lots of interesting activities for the children, including a wide range of toys and sensory activities at home and trips out. They both take joy in our son's achievements and keep us regularly updated with how he is doing - with extra communication after a tricky drop off or a day he isn't feeling well. We can't recommend both of them highly enough - they are brilliant.

Me and my partner needed to find full time childcare with short notice, and we’re struggling to find any availability. We were so lucky to have stumbled across Chris & Emma (and their daughter!) known as Arc Childminding. They had just set up shop, so we were lucky enough to get a place. It’s a true home away from home, and they both have a wealth of experience, with lots of fun toys, activities and daily trips to the park, library or local groups. We get daily updates on the app, so we can see what fun he’d been up to each day too!
It truly feels like an extended family, nervous for my son to start childcare full time, that quickly eased when I saw how much he loved it there. In the mornings I’ll say ‘let’s go and see Emma and Chris then!’ And he’ll grab his coat and shoes with a big smile on his face.
