My Experience
I studied childcare for 4 years in college and have gained 6 years of practical experience through Nursery work, babysitting, placements and both full time nanny positions and wedding nanning. I have worked alongside children with special needs and special dietary requirements. With previous experiences I have helped the children in my care with their homework, preparing their dinners and snacks, I have helped prepare activities designed to their developmental needs and special interests. I have experience with light housework and doing basic chores for families.

I completed an online course on children mental health. I learned how to approach sensitive subjects with children. Reasoning behind self destructive behaviors, how to help them cope and be a safe adult to speak to.

Pediatric First Aid Certificate
I gained knowledge on how to respond to incidents involving children and babies. As well as this I gained practical experience in doing CPR in both babies and children, choking in babies and children, and how to treat burns, scalds, breaks and wounds. I practiced how to put children and babies in the recovery position, how to respond to seizures and strokes.

Food and Hygiene Certificate
I completed a level 2 food and hygiene course. I learned how to maintain a clean and safe environment in the kitchen, cross-contamination, how to identify/ prevent food poisoning and more.
