My Requirements

We (mum: Mengnan and dad: Tomas) are looking for someone who can help us a few afternoons per week with picking up our daughter Gabi from nursery, cooking dinner some of those evenings and helping out at home while there.

We both work full time but Mengnan is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Every other week, Mengnan will be home in the evenings Mondays & Tuesdays but not able to pick Gabi up or help much with childcare. Tomas should be home around 6-6.30 but we want someone to help get Gabi from nursery a bit earlier than that, cook dinner some of those days and feed Gabi.

Gabi is talkative, fun and strong willed. She may be initially shy but keen to make friends with those who will play and communicate with her at her level.

We are looking for someone mature and fun, who we can rely on to get Gabi safely, handle whatever comes up but also build a great relationship with her and give her some fun on those evenings where she might be missing mum/dad.

Responsibilities will include: nursery pick up, walking home with Gabi and her pram (10-15 mins), cooking dinner (not every time you pick up Gabi but assume half the time or more), picking up shopping if needed. We already have a cleaner so our house should be clean and tidy, but want someone neat who will clean up after Gabi in the evenings.

UK references and some experience in childcare are essential. A good standard of English is preferred. In our home, we speak Spanish, Mandarin, Finnish as well as English. Having any of these would be a bonus (not essential). Gabi is most comfortable in English but understands Mandarin and Spanish well and we would love a nanny who can communicate with her in one of those.
