About Me
I have worked as an MFL teacher since 2008 and have enjoyed my teaching career. However, as the years have passed, I increasingly realized the strong desire to work from home and be closer to my growing children. As a dedicated mother of two young children, I understand the importance of providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for their development. This realization, combined with my experience as a school teacher, has inspired me to explore a career as a childminder, where I can extend my care and expertise to other young children and help shape them into confident and well-rounded individuals. One of the key skills I have mastered throughout my teaching career is effective planning. Just as I carefully prepare lessons before teaching, I apply the same level of attention to detail in planning my day as a childminder. I am accustomed to developing comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate a variety of resources and activities to cater to different learning styles. I believe this skill is invaluable in creating a dynamic and engaging environment that promotes the holistic growth of the children in my care.
My Experience
I have recently started working as a childminder and am enjoying looking after my early years. I share with the kids my passion for a nature based learning environment and the curiosity approach, which I have discovered during my new career. Every child has its own personality and brings a different vibe and valuable skills to the setting and we all promote diversity.

We have been using Laura since the start of this year and both our children have been very happy in her care. She has been adaptable and supportive to accommodate extra hours when needed and provides activities that interest and engage the children. We would highly recommend her services.

My family and I have know Laura and her family for some years now. We have recently started using her after school childminding services and we couldn’t be happier. Both boys love going there every week. They are always given yummy snacks and interesting activities to do. Laura encourages them to be outdoors quite a lot which we are very grateful for.
Laura is kind and engaging with the children. She is also very flexible if needed and nothing is too much for her to do.
We would highly recommend her services.

My son is receiving professional care for the first time, and luckily, we found Laura. She is very lovely, kind, and supportive to my son. She makes a significant contribution to the process of learning and skill development. He enjoys playing and spending time with her at home, in nature, and in other activities. As a parent, knowing that my child is in a safe and loving place also allows me to concentrate more easily on my work. So, I highly and lovingly recommend Laura :)
