We’re on the lookout for a warm, proactive, and experienced after-school nanny to join our lively family of six in Chicksands. With two independent girls aged 12 a boy 9, and a fun-loving 6-year-old girl, this role is perfect for someone who loves working with children of different ages and is ready to support a bustling household.
Key Details:
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: Minimum of 14 hours per week (up to 24 hours during busy times).
• Location: Chicksands
• Pets: Two lovely spaniel dogs who are very well-socialised.
What We’re Looking For:
• An OFSTED-registered nanny (or willing to register – we’ll cover the fee!)
• Experience with SEN, particularly ASC. Our 11-year-old, who has low-input autism and an EHCP, attends a mainstream school, so understanding and patience are essential.
• A kind, reliable, and organised individual who can meet the children at the bus stop and provide a safe, supportive, and happy environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Minor housekeeping tasks such as preparing school uniforms, children’s meal prep, and packed lunches.
• Helping keep our home running smoothly while my husband is away with work over the next 12–18 months.

My Requirements
After school Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 14.00-18.00. The children’s transport arrives at 15.30, so we have allowed an extra 1.5 hours for housekeeping.
On occasion I work late on a Thursday, until 20.30, and with advanced notice, extended hours will be required on a Monday and Tuesday (during periods my husband is away).
