As I am slowly returning from maternity leave, I will open up my home to one toddler who is eligible for the 15 hours funding (for 9+ month olds).
The 15 hours can be distributed flexibly throughout the week on any days, however I don’t offer extra childcare hours at the minute.

Welcome!
I’m Rahel, I offer child centred, home based childminding services for 0-5 year olds in Sheldon, Birmingham.
YOUR CHILD’S SECOND HOME
My childminding setting, Muddy Munchkins was created to bring a difference into early years daycare.
Our childcare setting is more like a second home for children, rather than a nursery lookalike, where we offer high quality early
years education, supporting the development of early years attachment that is essential for the children’s psychological wellbeing.
OUR FAMILY RYTHM
We follow a Waldorf inspired, home like natural family rhythm through the seasons, with a flow that leaves your children feeling calm, happy and connected.
At our little urban homestead, we spend most days playing in the garden, growing and making our own food, caring for our pets, going on nature walks, having camping fun, making art, learning music, while also enjoying indoor activities, visiting playgroups and going on special outings.
I value KINDNESS, CREATIVITY, DIVERSITY, NATURE & MINDFULNESS and build all of these qualities into our EYFS based curriculum, while I personalise our activities to each child.

My Experience
I have a Bachelor’s degree in health promotion and recreation management. During my university years I worked with a diverse age group including little ones to help them understand and develop a healthy and safe lifestyle.
I am also a professionally trained doula, so I have experience handling babies and fulfilling their individual needs, like sleeping, feeding, carrying, comforting, etc, (as well as I have an experience being a Mum myself too), and supporting the emotional needs of parents. I incorporate this to my childminding business, as the comfort of parents is equally important to the comfort of their children in my setting. I also have experience working in the creative and business field, such as photography and graphic design. I regularly use my creative skills to help children discover the fun and interesting side of art. This is not only focused on visual arts but also music, movement and drama. I also have many hobbies and skills including playing instruments, speaking multiple languages, gardening, nutrition and creating my own little homestead in an urban environment.

My opening hours are 8:00-18:00 Monday to Friday, but I am flexible with dropping off and pickup times, as well as the hours your child is staying at my place, just ask.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I only take government funded children at the moment.
The funded hours cover freshly prepared healthy meals and snacks (apart from formula), nappies and wipes, so you don’t have to bother with any of these on a daily basis.

My children love Rahel. She is patient, calm and communicative and I have peace of mind that my children were looked after well while I was working.
She provides healthy snacks and keeps the kids busy with a wide variety of wholesome indoor and outdoor activities which they enjoyed very much. I highly recommend!!
