My Summary
'A Fun Place To Learn Through Play'
About Me
Hello,
My name is Deborah and I live in the Borough of Croydon close to the border with West Norwood.
My setting is small but well-resourced and has a warm and inviting atmosphere aimed at igniting curiosity in children to motivate an interest to learn.
I am very passionate about providing various opportunities that will promote your child's learning and development all in readiness for the next stage of their learning at school.
This is best achieved through a combination of child-led, guided and planned play activities both indoors and outside the setting. All of these activities will be supported by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) areas of learning.
At Little Hive, the importance of building good relationships and keeping in touch with parents/carers is fully appreciated. Therefore, I consider the need to provide timely updates on your child’s progress a priority.
In order to ensure that the care I provide is maintained at a high standard, I keep my knowledge and skills updated. I achieve this through personal study and attendance at approved training events. I also regularly network with other Childcare providers in my local area.
With prior arrangement, I am available for babysitting on the occasional Saturday and I also offer free one hour childcare for one routine Smear Test appointment.
My Experience
I have prior experience working with children including newborns and with families in various healthcare roles. I have also previously provided foster care for children in my home.
My Qualifications
- Childcare (HBCA) CACHE Level 3 certificate
- Safeguarding Level 3 certificate
- Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Food hygiene Level 2 certificate - Rating:5 (Sept. 2024).
- Positive Parenting certificate - Triple P

We met Deborah over the summer and visited her home a couple of times. Her home stood out to us because it is based on a lovely quiet street and inside is so clean and well equipped with child safety measures and wonderful toys for young children. Our son was occupied with toys around Deborah's setting right from when we entered. Deborah is very contentious and diligent. She provided a contract and was showed us that she will follow all necessary procedures. She has so much valuable experience, training & knowledge that we know our son is in the safest hands. Deborah has not only given our son a wonderful place to grow, learn & play but a place to thrive! Our son is well fed with good healthy food and he is taught basic skills, manners, new words and has fun playing percussion instruments. He has enjoyed outings and normal day to day tasks like going to the shops as well as visiting local stay and plays and sessions at the library. We can not speak more highly of Deborah. She goes above and beyond and is the best childminder you could ever find! We love you Deborah!
