About Me

NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

available for ad-hoc childcare and babysitting. I have an up to date enhanced DBS, have worked in education for 6 years and been a Nanny/housekeeper for two families. I have SEN experience, particularly with ASD and ADHD.

My Experience

I have an up to date DBS and a 2-hour emergency first aid certificate.

I worked as a Nanny/House Keeper for two families. I worked for a family of 5 in Thames Ditton, Surrey. The family had G12, B10, G7, they also had a small dog. Alongside my expected jobs, I did ad-hoc babysitting and dog sitting.

Nannying:
• Picking up the children to school.
• Supporting all 3 children with homework.
• Organising after school activity uniforms such as ensuring ballet bags are packed.
• Cooking dinner for the 3 children.
• Taking them to after school clubs, football & dancing.
• Helping the family with parties on an ad-hoc basis.
• Taking the children on days out – to the cinema, theatre, park, out for lunch/dinner.

Housekeeping:
• Keeping the 6 bedroom house, clean and tidy at all times.
• Hoovering and steaming floors.
• Washing and ironing.
• Organising cupboards throughout the home.
• Wardrobe management.
• Run errands for the family.
• Food shopping.
• Dog walking.

The second family I worked as a Nanny/House Keeper for a family for 3 in Thames Ditton, Surrey. This role was during after school hours, supporting the children, G9/G10. The family no longer needed me as the children got older and mum was at home more.

Nannying:
• School pick up.
• Supporting with homework.
• Cooking dinner/ making packed lunches for the following day.
• Preparing them for afterschool clubs.
• Taking them to after school clubs.
• Ensuring school uniform and PE kits were organised for the following day.
• Ad-hoc babysitting on weekends.

Housekeeping:
• General cleaning and tidying around the house – hoovering, cleaning floors, washing up, polishing, dusting, organisation in kitchen, bathroom cupboards and pantry.
• Organising school uniforms and PE kits.
• Washing and ironing.

I currently work as a student support coordinator in a Secondary School. Within the mainstream school I work in a specialist centre that supports 20 students with a diagnosis of autism. I support 5 students known as key students. I support these students with everyday needs and challenges they may face whilst being in a mainstream school. I tailor my approach and skills to the individual as they are all very different and require different levels of support in different aspects of school/home life. I support students as well as parents with everyday routine, organisation of school equipment, uniform and planning of school work and homework.

Another big part of my role within the school is teaching students key skills. Instead of doing an additional language, some students come to me and receive support with life skills such as, baking, social skills, behavioural skills, the use of kitchen appliances like using a dishwasher.

Transferable skills from my previous job roles:
• Adaptable
• Great time keeping
• Organisational skills
• Patient
• Great communication
• Kind and compassionate
