Hi! I’m Georgia Rose and I’m a 22 year old student teacher studying in St Mary’s University in my 3rd year doing a BEd Technology and Design degree. Being active and playing sport such as netball is a huge part of my lifestyle.
My Experience
Being a student teacher I have a lot of experience with children, as well as this, I have previously worked in St Bride’s Nursery and have subbed as a classroom assistant throughout the school for a few years. I currently work Friday’s in the school helping out with P1’s and P2’s. Alongside this, I have volunteered at a cúl camp before, teaching the younger children important Gaelic skills.
Last year I studied in Sunderland in England before transferring in to St Mary’s to finish off my degree. In Sunderland I worked for a year in-between uni in a Pupil Referral Unit, a school for 4th and 5th year boys who had been kicked out of their mainstream school. During this role I was a classroom assistant that took after school technology classes.
My experience outside of teaching would be from working in retail in shops such as Warren James, New Look, Swarovski and M&S, aswell as working for a hospitality agency where I would have taken part in some shifts in the Titanic building.
My Qualifications
Currently in my 3rd year of a 4 year teaching degree.
A-levels in Aquinas Grammar School: T&D, Psychology and Sociology
