About Me
. i am ofsted registered childminder i live in sandiacre 5 minutes walk from ladycross and cloudside schools.where I live is very convenient for the m1 or A52. I live in a 3bedroom semi detached house with my 2 grown up children. My daughter is 33 and my son is 30. My aim is to provide a very safe friendly stimulating and caring enviroment. I use all my downstairs for childminding and have a seperate room for the children to sleep in during the day. I work very close with my parents. I do a variety of activties with the children , creative play,visits to toddler groups, soft play areas, and much more. During school holidays i meet up with the other childminders from sandiacre and take the children to many different places , elvaston castle, wollaton park, matlock by train, erewash museum and again lots more. I have many photographs to show potential parents of all the different things we do.If you require references i do have them for you to look at.Each day i look after children of all different ages. which is good for the children because they have the opportunity to socialise and interact with each other.
My Experience
I became registered in febuary 2011. I have years of experience bringing up my 2 children. I also have looked after friends children for many years. I regularly attend training courses throughout the year to update my knowledge and get new ideas . Which will benefit me and the children. Nneb in childcare

I honestly can’t recommend Julie enough. From the minute I met her she made me feel comfortable about leaving my little boy in her care. She is kind and caring and loves the kids as much as they love her! I couldn’t have hoped for a better childminder for my little one… he looks forward to seeing Julie every day.

My little girl started with Julie in the summer of 2021 at the age of 9 months and I can honestly say it was the best decision we made!
Julie is kind, caring and does so much with Madison. She has come on leaps and bounds since starting with Julie and absolutely loves going. I can go to work with the knowledge that my little girl is in safe hands which is priceless! I would be lost without Julie!

We have both our children aged 2 and 4 with Julie. She has a great environment for a broad age range and I feel secure that both are safe in Julie’s care.
One of the main reasons we’ve chosen a childminder is we prefer a home setting and both children feel at home, good routines and plenty of space to play. Julie also ensures the children get a good range of activities during the week, during the holidays she also ensures outings to provide a range of experiences. Julie remains flexible when we need to tweak our arrangements but is prompt to keep us up to date with her arrangements and invoices.

I cannot recommend Julie highly enough. She is a warm, loving, fun and very experienced childminder and has looked after my son for nearly a year now, he's been with her since turning 14months old. My son was initially at a nursery and was constantly ill there (required 8 antibiotics in a 6 month period as well as frequent hospital appointments for various throat, viral and ear infections caught at nursery). I really thought I would have to stop working. Since being with Julie he's not needed any antibiotics, Julie makes sure children are wrapped up and drives to school runs when the weather is bad which I really appreciate. My son has really blossomed in the year he spent with Julie. They go out almost every day to children's centres, parks, soft play centres, museums and farms -all at no extra cost. Julie has a warm, big house where babies and toddlers have a quiet space for napping, the house is also very well resourced with endless toys and interesting things for the children to do, focused on different areas of learning - they never get bored!

My 5 year old son has been in Julie's care for two years now, and is the best decision I could of made.
Up until moving to the area my son had always attended private nurseries from the age of 6 months and I never truly felt confident or completely at ease whilst I was at work.
I wish I would of known about Julie's care a long time ago as I would of saved myself a lot of anxiety and guilt over the years whilst at work.
Julie owns all the qualities you dream of, she is extremely kind and attentive to all my sons needs. She Is a fun and professional and it is clear for all to see that she loves her Job!
My son settled with Julie almost immediately and genuinely see Julie's beautiful house as a home from home.
On schools holidays she always has something exciting planned for the children to do and gets them out into the fresh air and keeps them active whenever the weather permits, which I think is fab!
I regularly feel jealous that I cannot join them in what they are up to whilst I'm driving to work!
To finish, if your are looking for a childminder in the area, don't hesitate... Go and meet Julie to talk about your childcare needs. You will not be disappointed!
If there were a 6 star rating... She would get it!

Julie has both my sons 5 and 10 and has had them now for 3 years, I have used nursery with my oldest one so have experienced both first hand, for me it was the best thing I did using Julie, she does so much with the children and it's good that she meets up with other childminders every week the kids love it, julie takes the kids out nearly everyday in the holidays more than I could do with them both my boys love it at Julie's and have made so many friends through it to, if I was ever to have another I would use Julie again and would defo highly recommend.

Julie has been excellent with our son, hes really come out of his shell since being with her.
She does a lot of activities with the kids as well.
Would recommend very highly for anyone in the sandiacre area

I had to find a child minder quickly for a short space of time, I spoke to Julie and she was really helpful and managed to help me short term! My children were very happy there playing but also taking part in educational activities! Would recommended Julie to anyone! Great childminder!!! Put all my worries aside! When I need a childminder again you will be my first call!! Thank you so much!!!!

My kids have been with Julie for over a year now, she does school runs at both the local schools. She also arranges activities and days out for my daughter (3 years old) they go out somewhere fun 3 times a week with no extra costs and is very reliable. My daughter loves it at Julie's ?
