My Summary

My Experience

My first job, aged 19 whilst awaiting to take up my place at GOS, was as a mother's help to children aged 3 and 2. At GOS, during our first few months, we were trained in the care of babies and young children. From 1977, I was fortunate enough to be able to be a full-time mother to my own family. Between 2006 and 2010, I worked as a demonstrating cook for a local charity known as Health and Local Food for Families in Axminster, Devon, where through cooking and gardening with very young children, we aimed to improve their nutrition and love of healthy food.

My Qualifications

I have A'levels in English, German and Geography.
In 1970, I was a student nurse at The Hospital for Sick Children Great Ormond Street, London.
In 1971, I completed a year's P.A./ Secretarial course with commercial German at Southampton College of Technology.
Since 1977, I have brought up my own 3 children and now have 4 granddaughters between the ages of 17 and 4 and a soon to be 2 year old grandson.

My Availability

I am fairly flexible and can be available from noon to 6pm, or 9am to 12.30pm Monday to Friday during the school year. My availability in the school holidays can be negotiated too.
However, from 1st December 2024, my daytime schedule, at the moment, is full, BUT I am still available for one-off evening baby-sitting activities any night of the week, especially in the run up to and during the festive season.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

£12.50/hour for one child, rising to £15/hour for two. Use my own car for school runs etc will need a mileage allowance TBA.
