My Summary

My Experience

Worked as a counsellor in a summer camp (Camp Junior, Fresh Air Fund, New York), with children aged 8-15. This was for two months during the 2023 summer. Involved 24 hour care, with the children staying overnight. As well as morning/night routines and mealtimes, I was always present during daytime activities. I learnt many ideas for entertainment, as well as techniques for behaviour management in this setting. Next summer I will return as a lifeguard.

I volunteered at a primary school after school club as part of my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award. This involved helping with games and activities, as well as the mealtimes.

I have done some baby sitting here and there for neighbours. For example children aged 8 and 10. This was in the evening time.

I have a younger brother of 8 years so have first hand experience with young ones!

My Qualifications

I have native fluency in Spanish (C1 obtained and waiting for C2 result).
I also have native fluency in German (C1 obtained).
I am currently studying my undergraduate in social sciences.
My ALevels were in Psychology, History and Art (all A grades). GCSEs all 7-9 grades. I am more than happy to help children with their school work.
I have my drivers license, however I do not drive often so would not feel comfortable using this in the job.

My Availability

Most evening and weekends. I can also (depending on my uni schedule) do the daytime. Often I have days with no classes. Or where I only have one or two classes and the rest of the day off. I am happy to negotiate and be flexible. I like to keep my schedule fairly free and I do not have any other major commitments other than my studies.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

I am looking for hourly rates from £12 per hour. Happy to negotiate depending on the type of work.
