My name is Maiya, and I am originally from San Francisco, California. I have extensive experience in childcare and am happy to support however you all may need (childcare, tutoring, etc), and look forward to getting in touch if you feel like this would be a suitable match!
I recently completed a Masters degree in Social Anthropology, and I am currently an independent consultant.
I grew up in a big family and have been taking care of kids for as long as I can remember. Whether it was my younger sisters, family friends, or families in need of support, I always had a kid on my hip. Before attending University, I spent a great deal of time nannying for families and leading a local daycare program. I previously spent a year as an au pair in England for a family with three children. I have experience with infants, children, and adolescents. My educational background (psychology, anthropology) provides me with a unique understanding of developmental psychology, as well as strong communication skills.
