I am first year Medicinal Chemistry student at the University of Manchester, but am also an experienced carer. I am from Brighton, and have recently moved to Manchester. My Experience
I currently work for Mad Science teaching a fun science after school club. I have experience as a PA for a young boy with a severe, life-limiting genetic condition, in which I was responsible for his daily routine, activities, nutrition, medication administration, tube feeding, gastric care and more. This role allowed me to benefit from working alongside physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, conductive educational specialists and more. From working in domiciliary care I also have experience in operating moving and handling equipment, personal care, PEG feeding, housekeeping and emotional support. I enjoy working and volunteering for a local charity that works with young people with Down Syndrome when I can, in which I assist in enriching activities.
My Qualifications
I have full first aid training and medication administration Level 1 and 2. I am trained in safeguarding, disability awareness, mental capacity assessment and general health and safety. I am currently studying a BSc in Medicinal Chemistry, and have A levels in Chemsitry, Biology, English Literature and Language and an Extended Project Qualification.
