About Me
My name is Antonia Emmerson, and I am 21 years old. I have been babysitting since 2019 and have been taking care of my younger sister since 2017. I was also a carer from 2021-2022. I am currently a Northumbria University student studying Criminology, I have just finished my first year of my course, passing with high marks. I am continuing childcare around my studies as I enjoy this work very much! I am now available from now til September with lots of time to take on some new families.
My Experience
I started childcare at the age of 14. This was when my younger sister was born, I have provided lots of help to my mother with my sister, and I still help her to this day, I am very close to this sister still! I then began babysitting outside the home, which I have been doing since 2019. I have looked after many children, ranging from 0-16 years. I was also a elderly carer, so my age range definitely varies! I also have experience with learning difficulties. During these years, I have done a variety of things. I have helped with homework and tutoring as needed. Cared for infants, including feeding, diapering, and dressing, and met the physical, social, and emotional needs of children in my care. I enjoy this job so very much!
My Qualifications
I have a Distinction Star in a Policing course, and I have just finished my first year of university finishing with very high scores. I have enhancement training in caring and a year and 6 months of experience in this. I also received my children's and adults' first aid training within this. A valid DBS certificate is also on my profile!
My Availability
I am currently a university student at Northumbria University, I have free time within my timetable! Looking for after school and weekends preferably!

I am very happy to have found Antonia! She has been wonderful with my son, who struggles with anxiety and takes a while to become comfortable with people. She was patient, friendly and kind right from the start, and now my son absolutely adores her! She really made an effort with us and I am very grateful for that. She is incredibly reliable, punctual and always keeps in touch when she is out and takes lots of photos which is so lovely. She is also super fun - she gets fully immersed in whatever she is doing and happy to run around and play lots of games, it’s clear she has a real love of children. Highly recommended, thank you Antonia!
