I'm a Accredited Ofsted Registered Childminder in Plymouth, I have been registered for 14
years, and love what I do.
I work along side my Husband Dan who is also a Ofsted Registered Child Minder. We have 3 son's and live in the NEW PL2 Development (North Prospect)
We provide the best possible service by ensuring that, through play and activity sessions, all children have fun whilst learning something new each day.
Whether it’s for a couple hours a week, or just after school, or even full time

We took on the services Sandie and Dan a few years back. They offered a collection and drop-off service for our son which was greatly appreciated. They collected him early in the mornings before we headed out to work, dropped him off at school when school opened. They collected him from school at the end of the day, dropping him back home when we got back from work. Additionally, they looked after Ashton in school breaks - taking him out on day trips with the other children they were looking after. A quality service.
They are experienced childminders, a highly professional and friendly couple, flexible enough to suit our requirements. Though we currently do not require a childminder, and no longer use them; Sandie and Dan will be the first we call should our circumstances change.
A massive thank you for taking care of our son when we need the support.

They do pick ups and drop offs at your house which is very helpful and they are very cheap.
They do lots of school pick ups which is great for school aged children but it meant that my 1yo and 3yo were in the bus for hours at a time. My 3yo also came home saying "Can you say f**k?" Which sounds like older kids goading younger ones into saying naughty things.
I gave my 4 weeks notice (which took us up to breaking up for Xmas at uni for me) and said that I had found a preschool available in Jan. They said they had some one that wanted to start ASAP and then dropped me as a client the next day (Dan said when the dropped the kids back "gotta look after my own family")
Then they blocked me as a user on here so I couldn't leave a bad review so I had to contact the website directly.
I am not being vindictive by writing this review, they're nice as people and they're very accommodating but very unprofessional. I was left with a month of uni without childcare and no notice to find some.

Holly it’s been a bit of a nuisance since day one and I quote your words ‘sorry to be a bit hassley but it turns out I’m a bit of a control freak’ I should have never taken you on as a client! The day you allowed your child to take a poo on my neighbours grass and to find it funny quoting ‘E announced he needed a poo so took a crap on that tiny patch of grass. Iv collected it but didn’t have any wet wipes which is my fault. It’s pretty normal for him to s**t in parks though, he’s probably shat in every park in Plymouth’ should have been your last day! I have never been so disrespected! Now to address the bus! And the very long time they spend in it! It’s a service we offer and one most parents are grateful for ! One you took great advantage of!! Quoting ‘ideal, I don’t even have to get dressed’ asking us daily if we could pick up!
Also the swearing ! You actually text me and again I quote your words ‘I don’t know, he’s just came out with it recently. He’s heard swears before but it sounds like someone is asking him to say it which is weird. It could be from anywhere that’s just kids they’re just sponges but I thought I’d mention it in case he starts running a foul mouth with you’
As these are big concerns, and only learning about it on here, I will be forwarding you a complaints procedure in the post. I will also forward your concerns to my LA and Ofsted. It’s a shame it has came to this because up until yesterday, having to let you down in a case of emergency everything was absolutely fine and never raised any of the above. In fact it was only 48 hours before this review you were actually asking us if we could collect the children! You’ve even thanked us for everything we’ve done for you and being so accommodating.. Very confusing !

Wonderful couple, flexible, great price and super welcoming. My two boys have only been going a short time but have already settled in and really look forward to their time here. My eldest has SEN and is the most settled he’s ever been. Literally could not recommend them highly enough - the best childminders in Plymouth!! Do not look elsewhere!! So lucky to have found them :-)

Sandie and dan are simply amazing I didn't think there were such incredible child care providers out there. They have become like family my children love going there. They always come back smiling. They do so much with the children days out to woodlands, parks the list can go on forever. They are very flexible and provide an outstanding service. So look no further for the best childminders.

Sandie & Dan have been nothing but accommodating to our current situation. They are friendly, their setting is fantastic and my son really enjoys spending time with the family! Would highly recommend!! One very happy mummy!

My children have recently started with Sandie and dan and I can honestly say this couple are probably the nicest couple I have ever met, so down to earth and clearly take pride in everything they do. My children love it, I was a bit skeptical of using a childminder as my children have been going to a nursery and I thought they wouldn’t adjust, well I was proved wrong. Never have I seen my kids smile so much when I’ve picked them up and my daughter will quite happily tell me what she’s been upto. Flexibility is amazing, and they accommodate my needs so well. I wouldn’t ever hesitate to recommend them to anyone as their care is literally second to none!!! If you want quality care then you need to get in contact with them!!! Thank you guys :)

I love my childminders and so do both my girls, Sandie and Dan are alway there to help no matter what and alway make my girls feel like there part of a family which I love. Wouldnt have my girls with no one else. Nothing is ever to much trouble for these guys and I thank them for there amazing work they do ?? BEST CHILDMINDERS by far!!!

My little one has been going with Dan and sandie since May 2017 and I can not believe the progress in her she loves going everyday and everyday she learns something new and it's brilliant she is always around children her own age and has a lovely day everyday fan and sandie do so much with the children it's brilliant I can not thank you both enough for all that you do for her... would highly recommend to anyone looking for great Quality child care

We are so lucky to have found you, we run a restaurant and our schedule is always changing at the last minute, you give us the chance to work when we need to and Julian loves the time he spends with you.
it is great to know that he is always around other children and very well looked after.
