I have babysat for multiple family’s in london ranging from ages 3months - 12 years old . Every family can provide me a full reference if needed . I have a passion for childcare and am fully experienced with all the requirements needed. I have been an after school childminder including the school run , dinner and getting ready for bed . I have also been a weekend nanny where , as well as following individual parent rules, I have provided the children with a fun and warm environment
My Experience
THE PEOPLE’S KITCHEN VOLUNTEER
I currently volunteer on a Friday night at The People’s kitchen, a place where those sleeping rough,living with less or struggling with loneliness can come and enjoy hot food, company and support with housing. Both professional help and mental wellbeing support is included. My role includes, serving food and liquid refreshments, cleaning, providing food staples and most importantly engaging with those who come in a welcoming and kind way. This position has helped me understand the importance of providing a compassionate, confidential and non judgmental space for the friends that need it.
DOG SHELTER VOLUNTEER- ROMANIA.
This summer, full time for a month, June - July 2023 I was fortunate enough to work in a private dog shelter in Romania, Nehoiu. This work gave me an insight into working for a small charity that ran on limited resources and showed how amazing care can be provided, even on a budget. I feel I adapted well to life in a Romanian dog shelter as I worked with the animals, socialsing, feeding, cleaning and preparing the animals for adoption. This experience taught me how to process situations that can be emotionally challenging and learn how to work well under pressure. It was extremely rewarding.
NHS ADMIN AND RECEPTION AT THE ROYAL MARSDEN
I have gained experience in the outpatients department at the Royal Marsden Hospital during my gap year. This was definitely my most challenging yet rewarding job where I would adapt to a somewhat fast pace and sometimes stressful working environment. Here I was exposed to vulnerable patients and therefore would adapt my communication appropriately, picking up on new interpersonal skills. Specific skills included, admin, prepping for clinics, answering phone calls and being behind reception.
