About Me
Hi, I'm Claire, and i live with my two young daughters and husband in Rose Green. Following the birth of my second child last year and whilst looking for childcare near to home, I realised there was an increased need for high-quality, reliable provision in my area. I was looking for childcare for my baby, but also before and after school care for my eldest child. Having found that nothing fitted both of my girls, I decided to set up Tiny Shepherds.
Having worked in nursery settings since I qualified in 2012 and as a busy mum, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience and am passionate about child development. I love the outdoors, exploring in nature, and encouraging independence in the children I care for.
Our home is a warm, nurturing, safe space for children to grow and develop in a smaller environment to that of a nursery or pre-school. There are opportunities for them to explore their curiosity and creativity. We have a playroom that offers plenty of fun things to do, including toys, messy play, glueing and sticking, and painting. There is also a secure garden that will offer opportunities for outdoor play as well as exploring the world around us.
My Experience
I have been in childcare since qualifying in 2012 working in different nursery settings.
Before my maternity leave last year I was a deputy manager with experience in this role for babies and 2- school ages. I have also worked in out of school clubs dropping off and collecting children from school and caring for them with activities and food.
My Qualifications
Level 3 diploma in childcare and education
Paediatric first aid
Safeguarding lead
Food hygiene (I have a 5 rating from the food hygiene inspection)
I have done training in speech and language
I have done training in forest school (I have not yet done a qualification as a leader)
My Availability
Currently have space for a 9 month + for half day 8-12:30 on a Friday morning.
And school drop and collection of Monday and Tuesday

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
I offer funded hours for all age groups.
Currently if you do a full day there is a discount. However £6.50 per child per hour
I provide Breakfast lunch and dinner for an additional cost if you do not wish to provide food yourself. Snack is included.
Breakfast-£1.00
Lunch -£2:50
Dinner-£3.50
If you do a full day, food will be discounted to £5 a day
We will also be going out on trips. Some of these will be included, if there is a cost to the trip I will inform you of the cost if you wish your child to join.
