My name is Leah and I cannot wait to be a part of your child/children’s early learning journey. I have gained a great deal of experience in childcare over the last eleven years. I started as a teaching assistant in a Primary School before progressing to deputy manager and preschool room leader for a private nursery. For the last six years I have worked for three amazing families as their sole charge nanny.
I have a passion for seeing and making children happy, healthy and meet their developmental milestones through fun interest based activities, exploration and sensory play. I will provide endless opportunities for your child to flourish and grow as an individual following guidance from The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statuary framework.
I live with my husband Jake who is a private chef, we designed the menus together making sure they are well balanced and the most nutritious meals using fresh and high quality ingredients. We are new parents to our little girl Kaia Rose, she was my inspiration to starting my own Home Nursery and we are excited for her to make some new friends! Around our house children will spot Ziggy, he is our friendly ginger tabby cat.
About the setting:
L Rose - Home Nursery is a welcoming, safe, nurturing and enthusiastic environment for babies and young children to play, learn and build friendships.
L Rose is situated on a quiet road in Lower Morden. The 93 and 293 bus stops are within a ten minute walk from our house. Parking is available on our drive to help with easier drop offs and pick ups.
The nursery has been designed with the children’s needs and wants in mind with resources rotated weekly and new toys added when needed so I can continuously meet the children’s needs and interests. We have a large designated play and learning area which opens onto the garden. We also utilise our local area and take regular excursions to nearby parks, library, shops and playgroups.
Working with my Childminding Agency (CMA) I am regularly undertaking training to build on my early years knowledge, practice and to keep up to date with any changes in regulations and requirements. As parents/guardians the CMA will provide you with ongoing support and access to an app which we will use as our main form of communication, I will provide you with daily updates about your child/children day, pictures and observations.
