About Me
I am a primary school teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and an enhanced DBS on the update service. I have been working with children for coming up to 3 years in Ofsted rated ‘Oustanding’ schools. I have just finished working in a private preschool for children and babies aged 1-6 years old and am looking for work which is more focused on the individual child. I love caring for little hearts and minds and I can’t see myself doing anything else!

My Experience
I am trained at postgraduate degree level (PGCE) and experienced with children and babies from 6 months old. My job has involved changing nappies, feeding children and practicing safe sleep, and I have been responsible for teaching my own curriculum with a speciality in early years phonics. I have been working in two classes, one with babies and toddlers, and the other with children at Nursery and Reception age. I have previously worked as a full-time Reception teacher and as a supply teacher with children up to 7 years old, as well as being a regular nanny for local families.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified teacher with up-to-date training in paediatric first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding and safe sleep. I have taken on all of the responsibilities of a childcare professional in my years employed with children.
My Availability
I am currently employed as a nanny for two families so am not actively looking for work, but I may be available in the evenings or for ad-hoc babysitting on Fridays and weekends in Chafford Hundred and Grays so feel free to send me a message.

Laura looked after my little boy on a number of occasions and all I can say is she is such a pleasure! My little boy took to her so quickly. She was friendly and patient. She even did activities like phonics and reading during the time she was babysitting. Laura is absolutely amazing.
Overall
Laura is an excellent babysitter! She is reliable, attentive, and truly great with kids. My children always feel safe and entertained when Laure is around. She is patient, creative with activities, and communicate well. Highly recommend
